This illustrious house, inaugurated on December 1st 1859, is one of Stockholm’s oldest auditoriums, and still retains much of the original furnishing of the period. Some of the main features of this room include a magnificent chandelier and an elegantly painted ceiling.
The auditorium is made up of the Stalls, a Dress Circle and a Grand Circle. It has fixed, tiered seating, capable of housing 414 guests – of which 240 seats are located in the Stalls. Apart from performances and concerts, the Main Stage is perfectly suited to lectures, seminars, small company functions, and film presentations. The auditorium is fitted with hearing aids as well as easily accessible seating for the disabled.
